As a professional software engineer and IT project manager I have worked on Java projects at SinnerSchrader in Hamburg since 2001.
In my free time I maintain my stock portfolio and always look for tools to support my investment decisions. During the last years I have written many tools for this job. The journey began with some Java tools for trend detection and api access for the Consors Trading API (in 2004).
In 2018 after a short excursion into the world of R, I began experiments with python and jupyter notebooks. Some of these are documented on this site.
To spread my knowledge about private investing, from time to time I give tutorials on private finance basics and investment basics like “fund selection and valuation“.
The incredibly beautiful pictures on this site were taken by my brother and are therefore his property.
When I’m not at my notebook you’ll find me hiking through the Duvenstedter Brook or mountainbiking in the near woods.
I live in Ahrensburg north east of Hamburg.
